What originally motivated you to try Pilates and then go on to train as an instructor?

Started due to back injury for strengthening. Found it so beneficial wanted to pass my knowledge to others suffering with chronic pain.

What did you eat for breakfast?

Eggs and cheese in wholemeal wraps.

In one word, describe your first Pilates experience?

Inspiring.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Being paid to do something I love and the rewards of helping others.

Your ‘go to’ website for all things Pilates (other than PAA)? Pilates International.

The best advice you’ve ever had?

Do what you love and you’ll love what you do.

An indulgence you can’t live without?

Exercise.

How long have you been a member of PAA and how did you hear about PAA?

20 years. From the beginning when Sally Anderson set it up while I was training with her.

Do you have a motto?

Never give up!

What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?

Remaining patient and finding new ways to communicate better when clients don’t remember exercises or corrections taught repeatedly.

How do you use PAA?

News, advice, updates, continuing education.

Who is your Pilates idol or would love to meet, and why?

Joseph Pilates, genius!

What do you appreciate most about your body?

Lightness, length of levers.
