Book Review: Breathing for Peak Performance by Eric Franklin

Breathing for Peak Performance – Functional Exercises for Dance, Yoga and Pilates, teaches the reader to learn how to improve breathing function and understand the anatomy of breathing. As with all Eric Franklin Books, this book provides excellent diagrams and images of not only the anatomy, but also of the 35 breathing exercises included in the book.  These diagrams and pictures really support the text and result in the reader’s having a good understanding of the anatomy and the exercise.

Overall, this is a useful book for anybody to use, whether they are a teacher or a student so as to better understand the mechanics and anatomy of breathing.  It is a small book that is easy to read and would be  a useful reference addition to any library.
