BASI celebrated its’ 25th anniversary in June this year at the ‘Learn from the Leaders’ conference at the Hyatt Regency. Newport Beach, CA.
The conference drew over 250 participants from 20 countries, including delegates from Australia, Greece, South Africa, Japan, and Italy. It was a delight to meet and work with like minded teachers.
Four amazing and inspiring teachers joined Rael in the presentations: Lolita San Miguel, Alan Herdman, Karen Clippinger and Brett Howard. We all gained so much from their classes, walking out with an abundance of notes to digest and absorb into our minds and bodies.
Over the weekend we were privileged to sit in on a lunchtime round table. Each presenter gave a speech on their relationship and journey with Rael and BASI over the years. It was lovely to see the leaders work so well side by side, sharing and learning from each other.
One of the highlights of the weekend celebrations was the cocktail party, held at the amphitheatre at the Hyatt under the Californian stars. The live music entertainment from Rael’s niece and nephew from Israel – and few tunes from Rael himself was a real treat! The night was full of heartfelt emotions of happiness, gratitude and excitement. As Rael summed it up, “It was magic.”
The following day began with workshops and the grand finale: A Mat Masterclass with Rael, featuring 230 people in the room with a live-feed broadcast for the rest of the Pilates world to join in. The room was buzzing, and Rael was full of electric energy!
As a class we began to breathe… Peace and unification. All of us sharing the space and time together, doing what we love and guided by Rael’s powerful and uplifting class. I felt blessed to be part of this magical event.
The entire weekend was truly a memorable celebration and a great gift to Rael and BASI .
