Conference 2017 update

It’s getting close, only 3 weeks to go!!

We are in final countdown mode and getting very excited about the superb learning experiences we will all share throughout the 3 days of the 2017 PAA conference. This will be the largest PAA conference to date and as the event expands the logistics and demands increase. Our final site meeting is scheduled for next week where all logistics will be finalised and locked in. In the coming weeks, conference delegates will receive emails regarding schedules and housekeeping items.

The new ICC is a fabulous venue, right in the heart of the city and by the water. We will have the 5th floor dedicated to the PAA Conference with multiple workshop rooms and a unique Pop Up Shop for delegates to browse in during breaks.  All reports of the food at the ICC have been glowing and we have also noted your preferences from previous conferences in selecting the menu for this one.

The Pilates Designs by Basil shipment from the US is on its way and Paul Tesoriero from Pilates Equip has been feverishly working to get all his equipment ready! There are still a few conference equipment pieces available from both suppliers, so if you are looking for new equipment at a great price, please email the suppliers directly ASAP.

The Meet and Greet at Café Del Mar on Friday 15th September will be a great opportunity to connect with colleagues and presenters, catch up with old friends and mingle with new ones. Come along and be a part of this vibrant Pilates community. As there are catering deadlines we ask that you pre book to attend. Please email support@pilates.org.au.

We would like to thank our 3 major sponsors for their tremendous support:

Pilates Designs by Basil

PilatesEquip

Bookings Essential

We would also like to recognise the hard work of the conference subcommittee in planning this event. It has been a great team effort under the direction of Olga Tamara (former PAA Vice President).

We look forward to seeing you there.

Sharan Simmons

PAA Vice President
