  1. What originally motivated you to try Pilates and then go on to train as an instructor?I was a student at the Australian Ballet School and sustained stress fractures in my feet, the expectation to keep fit and on top of my game was high, the amazing benefits of Pilates were clear to me from the beginning. After my dance career, I wanted to share the benefits of Pilates with everyone.
  2. What did you eat for breakfast?Raisin toast and coffee.
  3. In one word, describe your first Pilates experience?Inspiring
  4. What’s the best thing about your job?Making a positive difference to people’s lives.
  5. Your ‘go to’ website for all things Pilates (other than PAA)?Pilates Anytime and Body Control Pilates Central, and Pilates Unfiltered podcast.
  6. The best advice you’ve ever had?Do it now, otherwise you’ll be waiting forever for the right time.
  7. An indulgence you can’t live without?Coffee
  8. How long have you been a member of PAA and how did you hear about PAA?5 years (on and off since 2004). I first learnt about the PAA during my PITC training course.

  10. What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?Getting it ALL done. Balancing my professional life and my family life, with two little boys full of energy and a business to run, sometimes it feels like there’s not enough hours in the day.
  11. How do you use PAA?Professional development workshops, indemnity insurance, keeping up to date on industry related news and articles.
  12. Who is your Pilates idol or would love to meet, and why?

Blossom Leilani Crawford – I am inspired by her passion and presence in our industry. And I’m always energised by her workshops and classes on Pilates Anytime. I’ve always been in the wrong country at the wrong time, I hope our paths cross in the future.
  13. What do you appreciate most about your body?

It’s strength and ability to repair both mentally and physically.
