Focus Questions:

  1. In one word, describe your first Pilates experience?

Hooked!

  • What did you eat for breakfast?

Buckwheat toast + coffee.

  • Share either the best or most challenging thing about your job:

Best: witnessing students’ ‘uh huh!’ moments as they perform exercises.

  • Your ‘go to’ website for all things Pilates (other than PAA)?

Not a website per se, but a really great Instagram page with lots of info + inspo: Physiotherapy Stockholm.

  • How did you get hooked on Pilates?

My friend happened to be teaching at a studio down the road from me (how serendipitous!) I went along for a session & loved it. Signed up for unlimited classes straight away.

  • The best advice you’ve ever had?

Try not to take things personally. No one thinks about you as much as you do.

  • An indulgence you can’t live without?

Red wine.

  • How long have you been a member of PAA?

1 year.

  • Do you have a motto?

Never be afraid to ask for help, but don’t forget to give back.

  • Who is your Pilates idol or would love to meet, and why?

Lisa Hubbard – love her flows. Stunning to watch!

  • What do you appreciate most about your body?

Its strength.

  • What book are you reading right now?

How Do You Feel? An Interoceptive Moment With Your Neurological Self’ by A.D. (Bud) Craig.

Will you be our next Instructor in Focus?

We’d like to get to know you and how Pilates fits into your life, so each newsletter we’ll highlight a PAA member as our Instructor in Focus on our website and on social media channels.

To be a featured member answer a few simple questions and submit a headshot and/or a photo of yourself doing Pilates.

We look forward to getting to know members of our PAA community.
