If you’re an avid lover of learning, as most Pilates teachers are, then this beautiful book is one to keep on hand. An amazing resource that is easy to read with reference photos, details of muscle recruitment and movement objectives along with modifications. The Ped-o-Pull, one of my favourite if somewhat underrated pieces of equipment and rarely included in many comprehensive programs, made an appearance alongside the usual Studio suspects.

Being quite a direct person myself, I appreciated the imagery used throughout the whole book. Reference to the placement of the ribcage during movement through imagining rubber bands connecting the lower ribcage to the pelvis had me exploring this cue throughout the whole of the body with a variety of movement practices. (Isacowitz, 2022, p. 42).

A compilation of knowledge and passion, this lovely book really made an impression and brought me back to my first interactions with Pilates and teacher training. “The joy of Pilates is found in the exploration and transformation of body, mind, and spirit.” (Isacowitz, 2022).
