New PAA Project: Therapeutic Pilates Special Interest Group (SIG)

THERAPEUTIC PILATES SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP

We are excited to introduce a new project within the Pilates Association for members who are interested in Therapeutic style of Pilates teaching.

The THERAPEUTIC PILATES SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP (SIG) is a community for professionals who are passionate about integrating the principles of Pilates with evidence-based therapeutic practices to support client health,recovery, and well-being.

PLEASE JOIN US FOR AN OPEN INTRODUCTORY ZOOM SESSION on
Friday 24th of October from 4pm – 5pm.

Who are we?

  • A group of experienced, comprehensively trained Pilates instructors with additional skills and study credentials for treating and addressing a large range of subacute and chronic health conditions, which may be experienced by our clients.
  • PAA members who wish to progress their skill and knowledge of Therapeutic Pilates teaching.

Our aims

  • Connect and support each other
  • To share the latest evidence-based practise through workshops, discussion and shared resources for stimulating continuing education
  • Collaborate to produce and compile condition specific PAA resources to be available to PAA Members
  • Advocate for and advance the progress of Pilates of therapeutic Pilates within our profession as a distinct from gym or fitness group Pilates.
  • We would love to progress our aims in an atmosphere of mutual respect

This is a forum to discuss issues around delivering Therapeutic Pilates in an open and caring manner.
